DESCRIPTION
Anticipated, Elementary Literacy CoachPOSITION SUMMARY
The Elementary Literacy Coach will provide support to K-5 teachers, strengthening literacy instruction through coaching, modeling, and professional learning aligned to Board Approved curriculum and the Science of Reading. The coach will work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to improve instructional practices and student outcomes in literacy.QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: Reading Specialist Certification Demonstrated expertise in Structured Literacy and the Science of Reading Successful teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level Ability to maintain a positive learning environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compliance with theNJ FIRST
Act Successful Criminal History Clearance Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorizationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual/Multilingual Master's degree in Literacy, Reading or related field preferred. Proven experience with Coaching, professional development, or teacher leadership.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT 10
- Month Contract.
COMPENSATION
In accordance with the provisions of theBOE/FTEA
collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position in the 26/27 SY is Step 1 BA/BS ($68,023)- Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99,380).
