Job Description
Job Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to write in a clear, concise manner. Ability to integrate technology, including New Hampshire Special Education Information System (online Individualized Education Program (IEP) used by New Hampshire), Google Platform, and Chromebooks. Ability to interact with a variety of individuals and stakeholders, including administrators, parents, students, teachers, instructional associates, service providers, community members, etc.Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurate and complete student records, reports, and paperwork as required by District, state and federal mandates. Safe, secure, student-centered learning environments. Clear communication of expectations for academic and behavioral achievement. Developmentally appropriate lesson materials to support student success. Collegial relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators, acting with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner. Written, quarterly (or as appropriate by IEP, but not less than as often as regular notification of student academic performance) progress reports on all assigned students and distribute to appropriate team members. Implementation of IEPs with regular education instructors. Regularly with evaluators, service providers, classroom teachers, parents, administration, and Local Educational Agents to create appropriate IEPs. With parents regarding student progress at regular intervals. Rapport with students and colleagues. With behavioral supports to develop effective intervention plans. Meetings as appropriate to meet Individuals with Disabilities Education Act requirements and support student achievement. Consistent feedback to students. Report incidents promptly to maintain student, staff, and school safety to adhere to District, state and federal mandates. In staff meetings, District professional development, and Professional Learning Communities as appropriate. Complete paperwork and reports within mandated timelines. Data for progress monitoring, using a variety of resources and data tools. Student behavioral needs to maintain safe, productive learning environments. Safe work/educational spaces, integrate training provided by the District in appropriate de-escalation techniques. Prompt responses to inquiries from all sources. Participate in and implement professional development as mandated by District and state licensure to maintain state certification. District policies and procedures, applicable state and federal laws, to ensure compliance and professionalism. Daily assignments for instructional associates. Consistent feedback and direction/guidance to assigned instructional associates. Support in the input of the evaluative process for instructional associates. Reading Specialist/Interventionist - Middle School 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Jaffrey, NH 03452 Full-time Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District 6 reviews Full-time The Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District is seeking qualified candidates to provide reading support to students and teachers at the middle and high school levels to start immediately or at the beginning of next school year. This position includes providing direct services in small group and 1:1 settings to students with reading and writing needs at a tier 3 level, supporting IEP needs. Additionally, this position supports self-contained special education classes through coaching and co-teaching in reading and writing curriculum. Additional coaching and co-teaching opportunities are available depending on scheduling and need. This position is part of the special education service team, working collaboratively with special education case managers from grades 6-12.Desired candidates would have a background in the Science or Reading, training in reading specific interventions such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, etc. NH DOE educator certificate in General Special Education and/or Reading and Writing Specialist, or a Statement of Eligibility in either, is required.Job Skills and Knowledge:
