AP Specialist 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 1515 Hebron Road, Heath, OH 43056 Full-time HMC - Hinderer Motor Company 58 reviews Full-time Position Title Accounts Payable Specialist Position Summary The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payment of company obligations. This position supports the accounting department through organization, attention to detail, and strong communication with vendors and internal departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments Maintain vendor records and ensure W-9 documentation is current Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations Maintain organized accounts payable files and records Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed Collaborate with department managers regarding invoice approvals and expenses Perform additional administrative or accounting duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred Minimum of 1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience with accounting or ERP software preferred Ability to handle confidential information professionally Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and scanners.
