Job Description
You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verifier with a strong data entry skill set, exceptional accuracy, and speed. The primary goal is to ensure all invoices and purchase orders are accurately verified and logged into the system. Key Responsibilities Prolonged sitting and computer use. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate reports. Sorting, organizing, and scanning mail to ensure everything is logged in the system. Verifying PO numbers. Verifying invoices are accurate. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Must have strong data entry and data verifying skill set resulting in a high degree of accuracy and speed. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance, and reconcile figures. Possess good communication (written and verbal) skills. Experience 1 year of experience in the relevant field. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances). Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met.
