Candidate must have the ability and work ethic to perform in a fast-paced environment and without direct supervision. Responsibilities are to assist in maintaining the community's grounds, completing apartment turnovers by established make ready dates, as well as complete service requests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Turnover apartments to company standards - may include but is not limited to spackling, painting, removing existing carpet and cleaning
  • Diagnose and repair problems in areas such as electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency lighting, flooring, and hardware accessories
  • Organize and prioritize service requests, general maintenance tasks and apartment make-ready to meet established deadlines
  • Help with supply ordering and maintaining inventory
  • Work with necessary subcontractors on an as-needed basis
  • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24-hour emergency maintenance service and response
  • Participate in on-site snow removal
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience
  • Ability to complete tasks by deadlines, work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Property Manager, Leasing Consultant, Cleaner, Maintenance Supervisor, etc.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Must be available for on-call rotation including nights/weekends/holidays
  • Must have own basic tools
  • Background check conducted
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle
