  • Job Description
  • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, troubleshooting, and overhaul of electromechanical equipment across the facility. This role focuses on performing preventative maintenance on a wide variety of production equipment, including processing and packaging machinery, and planning and scheduling maintenance tasks to align with production requirements.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and operational readiness.

+ Quickly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment and building systems to minimize downtime.

+ Adhere to all plant safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

+ Assist with the installation, assembly, and setup of new or relocated production equipment according to layout plans and manufacturer specifications.

+ Maintain accurate and timely records of all maintenance activities, work orders, parts usage, and equipment modifications in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

+ Plan and schedule preventative maintenance tasks to align with production schedules and minimize disruption to operations.

+ Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues, recommending corrective actions, and implementing solutions to enhance equipment reliability.

+ Collaborate with production and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and communicate equipment status and repair timelines.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

+ Hands-on experience with motors, fuses, heaters, limit switches, electric motor clutches, and brakes.

+ Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and documentation.

+ Experience with PLC troubleshooting and PLC controls.

+ Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including working with 3-phase power systems.

+ Knowledge and practical application of preventative maintenance practices on production equipment.

+ Understanding and adherence to safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

+ Ability to use and update a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders and maintenance records.

+ High school diploma or GED required.

  • Work Environment
  • The facility operates multiple shifts and employs over 300 full-time and temporary team members across the site, fostering a busy, collaborative, and family-oriented atmosphere.

The work environment is temperature controlled, providing comfort throughout the year. Employees have access to lockers and an on-site cafeteria for breaks and meals. The role involves working on production floors with industrial electromechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, and may include 12-hour shifts (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) on a schedule of four days on and three days off. Training for certain shifts may occur on day shift for the first two to three weeks to ensure thorough onboarding and familiarity with equipment, processes, and safety procedures.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $62400.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. health benefits, 401k, direct hire, bonuses offered
