Job Description

Category Schools - Adaptive Physical Education Teacher Job Type Contract Inspire active lifestyles and support student success as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher for middle school students. This part-time contract opportunity focuses on delivering specialized services for the 2026/2027 school year. You'll travel to multiple district campuses to provide both hands-on instruction and consultative guidance for students requiring adaptive physical education.
Key Qualifications:
Current Adaptive Physical Education certification or licensure (as applicable) Demonstrated experience in school-based settings, preferably with middle school-aged students Proficiency in supporting students with disabilities through adaptive PE programming Strong communication and collaboration abilities with multidisciplinary teams Track record of delivering both direct instruction and consultative support Excellent time management and organizational strengths Reliable transportation is essential for district-wide travel Commitment to punctuality and notifying the appropriate contacts when unable to attend Ability to clear drug screening, fingerprinting, and background/CORI check
Role Responsibilities:
Provide adaptive physical education services to eligible middle school students across the district Plan, implement, and assess individualized and group activities tailored for diverse student needs Consult with general education teachers and school staff to promote inclusive physical education practices Document services, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with IEPs and regulations Foster a positive, motivating, and respectful environment for every student Perks of the
