Category Schools - Adaptive Physical Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity to provide a meaningful impact as an Adaptive Physical Education professional supporting middle school students across a dynamic district. This contracted, part-time role will focus on delivering both direct instruction and consultative guidance to ensure every student receives personalized and effective Adaptive PE services.

Key Qualifications:

Valid and active Adaptive Physical Education certification/licensure (as required) Demonstrated experience in school-based settings, preferably with middle school students Track record of supporting students with disabilities in physical education environments Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities for effective team integration Reliable transportation: travel required between multiple school sites within the district Strong organizational skills and punctual, professional presence Ability to pass a drug screen, fingerprinting, and background/CORI checks Commitment to clear communication around schedule changes or absences

Responsibilities:

Deliver Adaptive Physical Education services to a determined caseload of middle school students across the district Collaborate with school staff and student teams to customize and monitor differentiated PE programming Provide consultative services to support general education PE instructors and related service providers Maintain documentation and data regarding student progress, attendance, and service delivery Travel to multiple campuses as scheduled, ensuring timely arrival and departure Communicate regularly with school contacts and recruitment staff regarding attendance and schedule adjustments This position is onsite only, typically 2-2.5 days per week for the 2026/2027 academic year.
