Job Description
SUMMARY Cast medium voltage transformers inside a pressurized mold using epoxy resin from a hydraulic vacuum system. Responsible for operating and maintaining the hydraulic vacuum system. Perform and log daily and weekly material tests.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate production line with tools, APG machines, and a hydraulic vacuum system. Maintaining a hydraulic vacuum system Examine work order to verify correct parts and materials are being used for the product. Troubleshoot production line machinery. Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product and materials outside of specifications. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs). Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on production line machinery. Communicate with operators from other shifts. Clean and maintain work area. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. Other duties as assigned.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist mechanics and electricians in repair work if needed. Provide on-the-job training to new employees. Requisition raw materials as needed. Change out cans and toes, also making sure they are labeled properly before storing in proper place. Licensed employees to use forklift to change out empty cans and totes.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds required. Forklift experienceWORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 70 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, mask/filter. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Long hair touching shoulders should be pinned up securely so as not to touch shoulders. Must be clean shaved per OSHA regulation for respirator use.Workplace Description:
