Applications & Technology Specialist - Fairmont

The City of Fairmont is seeking a versatile, motivated Applications & Technology Specialist! Reporting to the Electric Distribution Superintendent, this position will perform a variety of skilled work as it relates to the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and controls as well as the implementation/operation of SCADA, GIS, load management, and other computer-based systems. This position also performs basic electric system engineering and mapping for the Utility.

Minimum qualifications include:

two years' experience in electrical service and two years' experience in supporting/troubleshooting desktop operating systems OR a combination of education, training, and experience that contributes to an adequate vocational knowledge of information technology systems, electronics, electrical system technology, and mapping technology.
