Full-time Job Summary:
The Aquatic & Fitness Program Supervisor interacts with and aids Severna Park Community Center's aquatic and fitness customers by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints; helps to keep online systems operational; and as part of a team, administratively and instructionally supports aquatic and fitness program operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1.
Customer Service:
This position supports customer service needs for a busy aquatic and fitness operation, working with the aquatics leadership team to: a) Communicate with customers by phone, email, and in person to provide information and support related to aquatic and fitness programs and operations; b) Respond to customer questions and complaints and consult with the aquatics leadership team as needed; c) Take appropriate action to resolve customer issues and concerns. 2.
Technical/Online Support :
This position supports technical/online needs to: a) Maintains the aquatic & fitness sections of the organization's online scheduling and registration system, updating them daily as needed; b) Update the aquatic and fitness website pages daily; c) Assist with entering new class schedules and fees and linking registration and web services. 3.
Administrative Support :
This position supports aquatics and fitness administrative needs, assisting with: a) Coordinate with the front desk team to ensure they have current aquatic and fitness operations information, including schedule changes; b) Serve as a liaison between aquatics and other SPCC departments to answer operational questions and resolve discrepancies; c) Assist with rental contracts and contract files, including securing and storing certificates of insurance and preparing invoices for aquatic and fitness rentals; d) Assist aquatic leads with scheduling, curriculum development, instructor and coach training, program promotion, and registration reconciliation for aquatic and fitness programs; e) Provide administrative support for aquatic and fitness staff, including rosters and patron information; f) Support promotional and marketing efforts; g) Maintain inventory for aquatic and fitness supplies and work with the director to place orders as needed to keep programs running smoothly; h) Complete filing, reports, and other administrative tasks; i) Participate in leadership team meetings as needed and provide customer service and administrative reports for aquatic and fitness operations; j) Perform other duties as assigned. 4.
Teaching and Training:
a) Teach and coach programs as needed; b) Provide training for instructors and coaches as needed. 5.

Schedule :
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends.
Skills and Abilities:
a) Excellent verbal and written communication skills including active listening. b) Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances. c) Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability and willingness to learn new software. d) Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail. e) Ability to multitask and work independently. f) Swim instructor/coach experience.
Education and Experience:
a) High school diploma required. College degree preferred. b) 2-3 years of customer service experience or program supervision required.
Physical Requirements:
a) Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, using the telephone, and working on a computer.
