Job Description
Description We are looking for an Architectural Project Manager to guide projects from early design through construction completion in Brooklyn, New York. This position combines day-to-day project leadership with technical production, ensuring drawings, coordination efforts, and client deliverables remain accurate and aligned with project goals. The role works closely with consultants, internal team members, and senior leadership to keep schedules on track, uphold design quality, and support strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Direct architectural assignments through design development, documentation, and construction phase services while maintaining progress against scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
- Partner with engineering and specialty consultants to integrate structural, lighting, acoustical, expediting, and other technical requirements into coordinated project documents.
- Examine drawing packages for consistency, technical accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes, zoning regulations, and jurisdictional standards.
- Prepare and manage core project records such as RFIs, submittals, meeting summaries, action items, and milestone schedules to support smooth project execution.
- Facilitate design and review workflows to ensure project decisions remain consistent with the established vision, client priorities, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute hands-on production work in Revit and related drafting tools while also overseeing team coordination and deliverable development.
- Provide guidance to entry-level team members by reviewing work, sharing technical knowledge, and encouraging strong project management practices.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and clients to resolve project issues, communicate status updates, and help maintain positive working relationships throughout delivery. If this person is you, please apply to victoria.iacoviello@roberthalf Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in architecture is preferred; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of architectural experience, including responsibility for project coordination or project management activities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Revit is required, with additional familiarity in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling software considered beneficial.
- Strong understanding of New York building codes, zoning requirements, energy code standards, and filing or approval processes.
- Experience supporting construction administration activities, including document review and coordination during active project phases.
- Ability to produce and interpret architectural drawings with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and technical priorities.
- Previous exposure to interior design projects is a plus.
