Commensurate with experience and qualifications We are seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Job Captain to join our small, collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential architecture, excellent AutoCAD drafting skills, and the ability to take initiative and work independently while collaborating closely with the project team. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of a NAAB-accredited 4- or 5-year architecture program 3-5 years of professional architectural office experience , with a preference for experience in custom single-family residential projects Highly developed AutoCAD drafting skills ; applicants will be asked to provide work samples and complete a skills assessment Working knowledge of SketchUp , Adobe Creative Suite , and Microsoft Office or other relevant design and production software Strong understanding of architectural drafting and construction documents Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think independently Strong listening skills, attention to detail, and follow-through Excellent verbal, graphic, organizational, and collaborative communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and within a small team environment Demonstrated interest in continued professional growth as a designer and architect Responsibilities The Architectural Job Captain will assist with the development and completion of architectural projects from design through construction documentation and permitting.

Responsibilities may include:

Preparation and coordination of construction documents for custom residential, historic renovation, and small commercial projects Development and maintenance of architectural drawings using AutoCAD Coordination of drawings and information with consultants, contractors, and project team members Assisting with permit submittals and responses to plan review comments Preparation of presentation materials and design studies Development of SketchUp models and other graphic materials as needed Assisting with field documentation, site measurements, and existing conditions Supporting project development through various phases of design and construction Maintaining organized project files and ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the drawing set Applicant Information Please submit the following materials: Resume Work samples/portfolio in PDF format, preferably 8.5" x 11" or 11" x 17" Brief description of your relevant residential architecture experience, if not clearly demonstrated in your resume or portfolio Applicants will also be asked to complete a skills assessment using AutoCAD as part of the interview process.
