Full Job Description Company Overview:
Studio One Eleven is an integrated practice of architecture, landscape architecture and urban design dedicated to the repair of existing cities and the revitalization of communities. We focus on design and tactical interventions which improve urban livability, sustainability and engagement. From community planning to streetscape improvements, mixed-use infill developments to small and impactful urban interventions, we work at a variety of scales to provide a variety of services. No matter the size, we view every project as an opportunity to enhance the urban condition that sustains it. Our design process begins with extensive research, analysis and community input to ensure a deeper contextual understanding and includes systematically measuring and monitoring the effect of our projects once they are complete, leading to better understanding of project outcomes and how this serves the needs of our clients and community. We are looking for a Job Captain to work with this team.
Position Summary:
The Job Captain is competent in all conventional aspects of architectural practice with an emphasis on the technical implementation of the project design. Performs work requiring independent judgment and critical thinking. Adapts standards and criteria to project requirements and possess a diverse working knowledge of related disciplines. The Job Captain is responsible for coordinating and producing Contract Documents with support and direction from the Project Manager and other senior staff.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited program preferred 5 or more years of experience in architectural practice with a focus on construction documentation preferred Knowledge of architectural detailing and current construction standards Proficiency in Revit and other business software and their application to Contract Documents Knowledge of codes, consultant's coordination (civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural), and ability to successfully complete the permitting process with minimal aid and supervision. Basic knowledge of construction contract administration processes Commercial and multi-family residential experience a plus Effective English communication skills, conversational and written, for ongoing project collaboration and documentation The expected salary range for this position is 80-90k Equal Opportunity Employer
