Project Architect Full-Time | San Francisco About Us We are a vertically integrated development and design firm, bringing together acquisition, development, architecture, and construction management under one roof. This structure allows us to move faster, collaborate more deeply, and deliver thoughtful, high-quality projects with a strong sense of ownership from concept through completion. The Role We're looking for a Project Architect who can lead projects with both design sensibility and technical rigor. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being embedded in the full lifecycle of a project—working closely with developers, designers, and builders to translate ideas into well-executed buildings. You'll take ownership of project delivery, coordinate across disciplines, and help shape both the design and execution of our work. Key Responsibilities Lead architectural projects from schematic design through construction administration Coordinate closely with internal development and construction teams to align design, budget, and schedule Produce and oversee high-quality drawing sets and technical documentation Manage consultants (structural, MEP, civil, etc.) and ensure integrated design solutions Navigate permitting and entitlement processes with local jurisdictions Support construction phase activities, including site visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews Contribute to design discussions with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset Qualifications Minimum 5-10 years of architectural experience in multifamily and/or hospitality sectors California Architectural license or on the path toward licensure Working knowledge of California Building Codes Strong technical experience producing construction documents Proficiency in Revit (required); familiarity with other design tools a plus Experience coordinating with consultants on complex, built projects Clear communication skills and ability to work across disciplines Strong interest in real estate development What Makes This Role Different Direct exposure to the development side—understand the "why" behind decisions Closer collaboration with builders, leading to more buildable, efficient designs Visibility across the entire project lifecycle Opportunity to influence both design and execution, not just documentation Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match PTO, holidays, and sick leave Our office is conveniently located at the intersection of Jackson Square and the Financial District in San Francisco, with easy access to BART, Ferry and MUNI.
