ABOUT US
We are a growing boutique interior design studio specializing in hospitality and restaurant design in gaming environments — creating spaces that are memorable, functional, and thoughtfully crafted for the guest experience. Our small, close-knit team operates with a design-first mindset, balancing creative ambition with technical rigor across a diverse and growing project portfolio. We are looking for a motivated mid-level Hospitality Job Captain to join our in-house team. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer ready to take on greater responsibility in construction documentation and project coordination within the hospitality and restaurant design space.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Hospitality Job Captain will be responsible for the production of detailed construction documents, millwork drawings, and project coordination across active hospitality and restaurant projects. Working closely with the Principal Designer and project managers, you will help translate design concepts into accurate, code-compliant, and construction-ready documentation. This is a fully on-site position at our Orange County office. Candidates must be local or able to reliably commute. This role offers hands-on experience, direct client exposure, and a clear path for growth within the firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed construction documents and millwork drawings for hospitality and restaurant projects. Develop CAD drawings from sketches and layouts based on instructions from the Principal Designer and/or Managers. Perform field verification to confirm as-built conditions. Update plans in response to evolving design revisions or feedback. Coordinate with clients, vendors, architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. Submit construction documents for approvals and permits; ensure compliance with applicable building codes. Conduct targeted research to support project development as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
2-4 years of interior design drafting experience, preferably in hospitality or restaurant projects.
Education:
Degree in Interior Design or Architecture preferred.
Software Proficiency:
AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office (Word, Excel), Adobe Creative Suite.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of construction documents, millwork detailing, and architectural plan interpretation. Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret architectural plans. Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients, contractors, and team members.
Work Style:
Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter; able to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and thrive independently or as part of a team.
WHY JOIN US
Work on design-driven hospitality and restaurant projects — the kind that push creative boundaries and end up in portfolios. Every project is different; no two are the same. Be part of a close-knit, collaborative studio where your work is seen and your input matters. In a small team, there is no hiding behind a hierarchy. Get real exposure across all phases of a project — from early design development through construction administration — building a well-rounded skill set faster than you would at a larger firm. Work in an environment that values craft, curiosity, and getting the details right.

Please submit your resume, portfolio (samples of drawing sets), and a brief cover letter detailing your experience in hospitality and restaurant interior design.
