Key Responsibilities Lead architectural projects and task orders from pre-design and concept development through construction documentation and construction administration. Manage multiple projects independently while balancing schedules, priorities, deliverables, and client expectations. Develop and present thoughtful initial design concepts tailored to each client's vision and project requirements. Create workplace planning and architectural solutions for federal, civic, institutional, cultural, infrastructure, and commercial office environments. Coordinate building systems, sustainability requirements, accessibility standards, and code compliance throughout the design process. Prepare detailed, accurate, and well-coordinated construction documentation. Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams. Contribute to feasibility studies, programming, space planning, workplace strategy, furniture specifications, entitlements, and planning approvals. Support the modernization, renovation, and rehabilitation of existing and historic buildings. Mentor team members while contributing to a collaborative studio culture focused on continued learning and design excellence. Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Architecture required. 5-10 years of professional experience with an architecture or interior design firm. Experience with medium to large-scale commercial office, civic, institutional, cultural, infrastructure, federal, or similarly complex projects. Federal or public-sector project experience is strongly preferred. Experience with workplace planning, historic or existing buildings, modernizations, renovations, or rehabilitations is preferred. IDIQ and MATOC project experience is preferred. Ability to independently lead multiple projects or task orders while collaborating on larger-scale assignments. Experience across architectural phases, including pre-design, concept development, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. Strong understanding of building systems, sustainability requirements, accessibility, building codes, construction detailing, materials, and construction types. Experience with feasibility studies, programming, space planning, workplace strategy, furniture specifications, entitlements, or planning approvals is desirable. Proficiency in Revit required; experience with AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel preferred. Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus. LEED documentation or certification experience is preferred but not required. Strong design, analytical, presentation, communication, and relationship-management skills. Portfolio demonstrating thoughtful design conceptualization and coordinated construction documentation required.
