Your Role We are seeking an experienced Licensed Architect / Senior Project Manager with a strong background in multifamily residential architecture to immediately join our team in our downtown Chicago office. This position is in-office at the time of hire. Hybrid work opportunities may be considered in the future based on business and role requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years of architectural practice experience, including at least 5 years of project management experience, and will be comfortable leading projects from early design through construction. The successful candidate will be a relationship-focused project leader who can balance client service, team leadership, technical knowledge, and project delivery. We are looking for someone who can confidently lead projects and teams while remaining hands-on and willing to step in wherever needed to keep projects moving forward. This position is well suited for a collaborative architect who enjoys developing strong client relationships, working with developers, leading project teams, and balancing multiple projects and priorities. Experience with affordable housing is highly desirable . Required Qualifications Licensed Architect required. Minimum 10 years of professional architectural practice experience. Minimum 5 years of project management experience. Multifamily residential experience is strongly preferred. Affordable housing experience is a significant plus. Demonstrated experience working directly with developers and building strong client relationships. Proven ability to lead and delegate work to project teams, including remote staff. Strong understanding of architectural design, documentation, and construction processes. Experience coordinating with S/MEP consultants; in-house consultant coordination is a plus. Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of design and construction. Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills. Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of projects and deliverables. Willingness and ability to assist with drawing production and technical work when needed.
