As our company continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Architectural Job Captain to join our collaborative team. What You'll Do As an Architectural Job Captain, you'll play a vital role in guiding projects from design through construction by preparing accurate plans, coordinating with clients and vendors, and ensuring every detail is ready for a successful build.
Responsibilities include:
Visit project sites with team members to verify existing conditions, identify potential challenges, and minimize construction surprises. Prepare complete permit and construction drawing sets, including floor plans, sections, elevations, and MEP drawings. Produce detailed cabinet drawings and meet with homeowners to review designs and obtain final approvals before orders are placed. Review vendor & labor quotes for accuracy and approve them prior to ordering. Ensure all project drawings accurately reflect the approved project scope. Prepare change orders when project scope modifications occur. Coordinate with project teams to help keep projects on schedule. Communicate effectively with homeowners, vendors, and internal team members throughout each phase of the project. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Experience preparing computer-generated CAD drawings for residential remodeling projects. A strong background in home additions, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and renovation work. The ability to read, prepare, and coordinate detailed construction documents. Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work directly with homeowners, vendors, and project teams. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Prefer local and available to work closely with our in-office team. Why Join Our Team?
