Job Description

The Architect will work with design teams in the development of healthcare design projects from concepts to construction administration, with emphasis on detailing and documentation. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong technical skills and an ability to contribute to an energetic and creative process. This position will require strong project management skills including managing people and projects through all phases of design and construction. Experience in healthcare design with a variety of healthcare facility types is preferred. This position is based out of our Rockville, Maryland office location for local candidates. The position will be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (after six months of employment) with the expectation that 3 days per week will be spent working in the office, at a client site, or at off-site locations for company-sponsored events as needed. Responsibilities Work closely with the project design team and client team in each phase of the project delivery process. Contribute to all aspects and phases of the architectural design process, including code analysis and research. Assist in creating project schedules and budgets. Attend and lead project meetings. Collaborate with a wide range of project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and design team consultants Maintain and organize project files. Travel to and from project and client meetings as required. Requirements 5-10 years' experience in the architecture industry with relevant built work experience. Experience with healthcare projects will be considered a plus. Bachelor's degree in architecture or Master of Architecture (accredited degree program required). Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor others. Strong technical project detailing and documentation skills. Proficiency in documenting all phases of the design process. Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills. Exceptional client service orientation and relationship-building skills. Strong proficiency in Revit required. Knowledge of Enscape and Adobe suite preferred. Knowledge of Newforma project management platform preferred. Solid MS Office abilities.
