Job Description
Your Role As a Gensler Detroit Project Architect, you'll lead a team to deliver exceptional architectural projects, leveraging your experience and technical expertise from concept to completion. Our Detroit office has spent 30 years helping local clients shape neighborhoods and design meaningful spaces. We're deeply committed to the city's resurgence, working on mixed-use developments, historic building repositioning, retail projects, and community collaborations. With a strong focus on preserving Detroit's past while envisioning its future, you'll play a key role in shaping the city's next chapter What You Will DoManage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultantsSupport communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officialsProvide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challengesCreate and Maintain project manuals and specificationsConduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's during construction Your QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture6+ years of project experience in an architectural practiceLicensed or registered architectExperience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3dMax, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS OfficeWorking knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structuresLEED accreditation preferred Life at Gensler At Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
