Job Description

About the job We're a growing, design-forward healthcare practice looking for a Project Architect who is ready to step into true ownership of projects. If you're tired of being "just a number" and want a real voice in how work gets done, you'll fit right in. We're a small architecture firm focused on healthcare projects. Our size means you won't be siloed; you'll see the full arc of a project and help shape how our practice evolves. Company Description The firm focuses exclusively on healthcare facility planning, design, and program management. The company delivers innovative and responsive solutions tailored to the unique needs of its healthcare clients. The team is dedicated to providing analytical and functional design services that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare environments. Role Description We are a growing architecture firm seeking a seasoned Project Architect to lead healthcare and institutional projects from early planning through construction. You will be a key member of our team, coordinating design, documentation, and delivery while mentoring junior staff. About the role Lead projects from schematic design through construction documents and construction administration, ensuring design quality, technical rigor, and code compliance. Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, consultants, and internal team members, managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and oversee production of detailed drawings and specifications in primarily Revit and AutoCad. Provide guidance and mentorship to emerging professionals, reviewing work and supporting their growth. Qualifications Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited program. Approximately 5-6 years of professional experience in an architectural practice, with significant time spent as a Project Architect or Project Lead. Proficiency in Revit; experience with other visualization or coordination tools (e.g., Enscape, Bluebeam, or similar) is a plus. Strong understanding of building codes, technical detailing, and construction processes. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. What we offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience and regional market norms for mid- to senior-level project architects. Opportunities to lead meaningful healthcare-focused projects. Professional development support, including licensure study assistance, continuing education, and growth. Collaborative, flexible work environment with a focus on quality design, technical excellence, and work-life balance.
