John Furth Peachy, Architect, is a six person architectural and consulting firm based in Tribeca, NYC. The firm specializes in conversion of manufacturing buildings to mixed use and residential for owners, developers and tenant groups. A majority of projects are based in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Current projects involve preparation of drawings and filing with municipal agencies, primarily with the Department of Buildings, Loft Board and Landmarks Preservation Commission and minor involvement with
DEP, ECB, DOF, CPC, BSA, NYC
Parks and DOT. Responsibilities The selected candidate will work in house under the direction of licensed architects and senior staff to prepare construction/filing documents, take measurements as needed and work from sketches to develop architectural drawings in coordination with consultants for mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler and fire alarm systems. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor Degree or Masters in Architecture from an accredited school. Detail oriented with strong writing, communication and organizational skills. 1 to 3 years architectural experience and interest in licensure. Interest in building code, zoning, energy code and climate change. Experience with construction documents, detailing and design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word and other software. Legal authorization to work in USA. Please provide your cover letter, resume and design portfolio with references. Salary from $60,000 to $70,000 annually plus benefits.
