About the job Architect - Classical High-End Residential Design Cleveland, OH A boutique architecture and interior design firm specializing in traditional/classical design for custom high-end residential estates (multi-million-dollar homes) is seeking an experienced Architect to join our growing team. We are known for our attention to proportion, detail, craftsmanship, and timeless design. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for classical architecture and luxury residential work, and be capable of translating design intent into comprehensive, well-coordinated construction documentation. Work Arrangement This position is primarily remote. However, candidates must reside within reasonable proximity to our Cleveland-area office to allow for periodic in-person meetings, client collaborations, studio work sessions, and site visits as needed. Limited travel to client properties and job sites is expected. Key Responsibilities Participate in all phases of architectural design, from concept through construction administration. Collaborate closely with team members on custom home design, space planning, elevations, and interior architectural detailing. Prepare complete, highly detailed construction document sets using AutoCAD 2D (2014 LT) , including layouts, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, sections, and millwork/elevation drawings. Coordinate with consultants, clients, interior designers, and contractors to maintain design intent and execution quality. Conduct site visits and engage in occasional travel for client meetings and field coordination. Maintain high organizational standards, adhering to project timelines and quality control. Demonstrate strong understanding of traditional residential proportions, classical detailing, and custom home construction methodology. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program. Completion of architectural internship / AXP hours (licensure preferred but not required). 5-10 years of experience specifically in high-end custom residential design , ideally luxury or estate-scale projects. Advanced detailing skills with strong command of classical design principles. Fluent in AutoCAD 2D (2014 LT) and experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proven track record of organizing multiple project components effectively. Strong client interaction capability, including communication and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a boutique studio environment where precision and bespoke design are paramount.
