Primary Job Functions Assume an ownership role for assigned projects from the intake of a lead or recognition of an opportunity, to project closeout Lead the project development from design through construction documents, and construction administration Employ creative problem solving to maximize client outcomes within necessary budgets Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and with the expected scope Lead, mentor and help with development of less senior employees Assist with talent acquisition / project team assembly Other duties as required Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Architecture or equivalent Eight (8) or more years of architecture, design, project management or equivalent industry experience Experience in Civic, Public, Municipal and Corporate sectors Ability to create and develop successful client relationships and repeat business Ability to work independently and lead others with quality results Strong organizational skills and ability to utilize technology Successful involvement in and completion of projects of medium to large size Strong understanding and knowledge of building codes Proactive approach to job responsibilities Demonstrated capability, proficiency and efficiency with AutoCAD and Revit Demonstrated ability for creative and effective problem solving Ability to communicate effectively with clients and co-workers, both written and orally Willingness and desire to grow and develop in a job function Additional Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree in Architecture License to practice architecture in the State of Michigan Experience in retail and multi-family sectors Successful history of business development or generation of repeat business from satisfied clients Historical, LEED Green or AP, or other industry specific designations Proficiency with Adobe Creative products such as
Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign Job Type:
