Westside Build i s a Santa Monica-based design and construction company focused on rebuilding homes in the Pacific Palisades following the devastating wildfire. Our approach integrates 3D digital twins, highly coordinated project delivery, and innovative construction methods to create better homes more efficiently. As a Residential Project Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of residential rebuilding efforts. You will lead the development of BIM models and construction documentation, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of accuracy and quality. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the revitalization of a vibrant community.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the creation and management of BIM models and construction documentation in Revit for residential projects, ensuring alignment with project milestones. Coordinate internal teams and external consultants (structural, MEP, civil) to integrate drawings, resolve clashes, and maintain coordinated BIM models. Produce and oversee permit-ready documentation and construction sets, incorporating code compliance reviews and design revisions. Perform QA/QC on drawings and models to ensure consistency with company standards, best practices, and project requirements before submissions. Work with Managing Principal with developing office standards and deploying. Support project delivery through RFI responses, submittals, and construction administration tasks. Mentor & manage junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment. Maintain schedule adherence and contribute to the overall success of project delivery.
Requirements Required Qualifications:
Professional architecture degree (B.Arch and/or M.Arch) Experience managing a team 11-14 years of professional architectural experience with at least 5 years focused on residential architecture Advanced proficiency in Revit for BIM model development and construction documentation Experience with custom single-family homes, ADUs, and residential rebuilds Experience producing permit-ready residential construction document sets and supporting permitting in LA County Strong understanding of residential construction methods and detailing Authorized to work in the United States Willing and able to perform as-needed on-site jobsite visits
Preferred Qualifications:
