At least 5 years of professional experience in architectural design, project coordination, construction documentation, design development, client coordination, vendor coordination, and oversight of commercial, hospitality, residential, or interior architectural projects. Job Duties Leads the architectural and technical development of assigned lighting projects by reviewing design intent, architectural plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, fixture schedules, control requirements, and client specifications. Converts project requirements into coordinated lighting-design and product-specification packages for hospitality, corporate, retail, institutional, infrastructure, healthcare, and high-end residential projects. Assigns and reviews the work of the Junior Project Architect and Junior Designer, establishes project-specific priorities and deadlines, monitors workload and performance, and ensures that drawings, schedules, presentation materials, specifications, and design revisions are completed in accordance with Luminicos Corp.'s standards. Coordinates the preparation and review of lighting layouts, fixture schedules, technical submittals, product-comparison materials, design revisions, and specification packages. Ensures that proposed fixtures, drivers, controls, and mounting conditions remain consistent with the architectural concept, budget, applicable requirements, and project conditions. Participates in project meetings with architects, interior designers, developers, contractors, electrical contractors, lighting manufacturers, and client representatives to address design coordination, product selection, installation requirements, technical questions, and project revisions. Escalates material scope, schedule, or resource issues to the Project Manager. Reviews shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, product substitutions, installation conditions, and technical documentation during project execution. Coordinates with the Field Operations Manager and external electrical contractors to preserve the approved lighting design and resolve design-related issues identified during installation, testing, or commissioning.
