Project Architect Job Description We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead the design and delivery of impactful projects across a range of sectors. This role is ideal for a design- and technically-strong leader who enjoys guiding teams, shaping project vision, and contributing to a collaborative, studio-driven environment. This position offers a high level of autonomy, the opportunity to mentor staff, and the ability to influence design quality and technical best practices across projects. Experience in civic and/or historic projects is highly valued. Responsibilities Lead design vision, technical direction, and documentation for complex architectural projects. Mentor and guide interdisciplinary project teams. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal team members to align design intent and execution. Oversee quality, consistency, and performance from concept through construction. Represent projects in client presentations, stakeholder meetings, and design discussions. Contribute to broader design and technical initiatives across the organization. Essential Skills Proficiency in Revit. Experience in architectural design, construction administration, design development, schematic design, and construction documentation. 10+ years of professional architectural experience. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Licensure preferred. Familiarity with additional design/BIM tools such as SketchUp is a plus. Experience across multiple project types; civic and/or historic project experience preferred. Proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and manage complex project scopes. Work Environment Standard Monday through Friday schedule with a 9/80 work schedule, allowing every other Friday off adjusted to align with holidays for long weekends.
