Job Description
PROJECT ARCHITECT
- 5+ Years Experience At Blue Architecture + Interiors we focus on exceptional design, complete customer service, and results that inspire. We have a wealth of experience in senior housing, veteran's healthcare projects, mixed-use, healthcare, Tribal, and hospitality design. Our downtown Bremerton office is just a block from the waterfront and two blocks from the Bremerton-Seattle ferry terminal. We focus on our clients and every aspect of project design through project completion. Blue supports a casual office environment and may accommodate flexible work schedules. We strive to perpetuate a congenial and relaxed atmosphere, focused on doing great work, and developing the careers of our team. We are seeking a Project Architect with 5+ years of professional experience competent in the detailing and technical documentation of project design, coordination of building systems with consultants, and confirmation of conformance with all applicable codes. An understanding of the project or task "finish line", and willingness to learn and mentor is greatly appreciated and rewarded.Responsibilities:
- Interpret design concepts and translate them into workable construction systems; maintain quality technical and design control.
- Work with project consultants and team members to ensure the coordination of project documentation.
- Develop design and construction documents for projects; preparation and modification permit and construction drawings ensuring the incorporation of the design intent, utilizing Revit and AutoCAD software.
- Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals.
Skills and Competencies:
- Designing and drafting building plans.
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, standards, and codes, including IBC codes and LEED.
- Construction documentation production.
- Communicating and collaborating with consultants and clients.
- Revit (including modeling and documentation) and AutoCAD are required.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and schedule management skills.
- Work independently or with a team to complete projects on sometimes aggressive schedules.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- 3D modeling and rendering software, such as SketchUp, is a plus.
- Photoshop, Illustrator, Lumion, and InDesign graphic software is a plus.
