Fill an application at our website: https://1800asphaltpaving.com/jobs Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and front loader trucks to prepare and grade surfaces for asphalt paving. Conduct utility locating to identify underground lines and prevent damage during excavation and paving activities. Manage the paving process by spreading asphalt efficiently and ensuring proper compaction for durability. Assist with site preparation, including grading, leveling, and ensuring proper drainage for driveway longevity. Maintain safety standards by adhering to construction site protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment. Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely project completion. Perform routine inspections of equipment like Caterpillar machinery to ensure optimal operation throughout the project. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, graders, and dump trucks. Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and construction site procedures. Familiarity with utility locating methods and safety regulations on construction sites. Ability to follow instructions accurately. Prior experience in asphalt driveway is highly desirable. Valid certifications in heavy equipment operation; certifications related to Caterpillar machinery are a plus. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving on-site.
Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
