Full Job Description Key Responsibilities :

Operate motor grader to perform finish grading, slope work, and surface preparation according to project specifications and grade requirements Interpret grade stakes, site plans, and GPS systems to achieve accurate elevations and alignment Maintain proper drainage and ensure final grading meets tolerances for paving or further construction activities Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation Work closely with surveyors, foremen, and other equipment operators to coordinate grading operations Identify and address minor grade adjustments or site issues to maintain project progress Adhere to all Weaver-Bailey safety standards and jobsite procedures; always maintain situational awareness Assist with additional tasks on the jobsite as needed to support overall earthwork operations Minimum Qualifications 4+ years of experience operating as a motor grader in civil construction or earthwork environments Working knowledge of grading techniques, site preparation, and construction workflow Experience working with GPS equipped equipment Ability to operate equipment safely in varying terrain and weather conditions Ability to perform basic equipment inspections and preventive maintenance Physically able to work outdoors and perform duties requiring climbing, bending, and extended periods of equipment operation All candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening. Testing requirements may be Non-DOT or DOT regulated depending on the position applied for. Preferred Qualifications Valid Driver's License Proven ability to work effectively within a crew and maintain productivity in a team environment
