  • Temporary, Seasonal, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking dependable, hardworking Asphalt Construction Laborers to join our team.
This position performs a variety of general labor duties in support of asphalt paving, maintenance, and construction projects while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. Candidates should be motivated, reliable, and willing to learn and grow within the company. Responsibilities Follow all company operational procedures and safety policies at all times. Represent the company's core values through professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Perform general labor, cleanup, and job site maintenance. Complete manual labor tasks using hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes, and wheelbarrows. Read and accurately use a tape measure. Assist with asphalt placement, including basic raking and shoveling techniques to achieve proper grade and smooth compaction. Operate hand-held equipment including vibratory plates, blowers, jackhammers, concrete/asphalt saws, and similar construction tools. Assist with traffic control and maintain a safe work zone (flagging certification preferred or willingness to obtain). Perform skid steer support duties, including sweeping, moving material piles, and site cleanup. Operate a skid steer only after completing company training, receiving supervisor sign-off, and in accordance with all company safety procedures. Work safely around heavy equipment while under appropriate supervision. Perform additional duties as assigned to support project completion. Qualifications Construction or asphalt paving experience is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates. Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials throughout the workday. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and skills. Ability to read a tape measure. Valid traffic control/flagging certification is preferred or willingness to obtain. Must own a smartphone and be proficient with Google Workspace (Google Suite) and the Got Safety app. Employees will be reimbursed for the business use of their personal device under the company's Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy.
