Job Description

Project Superintendent - Asphalt Paving Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent with asphalt paving experience to lead field operations on roadway and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have mainline paving experience on CDOT projects and a proven ability to lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain safe, productive job sites. This role is responsible for overseeing daily construction activities, maintaining schedules, ensuring quality standards, and driving successful project execution in the field. Responsibilities Oversee daily asphalt paving operations on DOT and roadway projects. Lead and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials. Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Monitor paving quality, production, and jobsite performance. Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and DOT representatives. Conduct safety meetings and enforce company safety standards. Review project plans, specifications, and schedules. Track project progress and resolve field issues as they arise. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience leading asphalt paving crews. Mainline paving experience on CDOT projects required. Strong understanding of asphalt paving operations, roadway construction, and heavy equipment. Proven leadership and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. OSHA certification preferred. Willingness to work extended hours and travel as project needs require.
