ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities, Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial, municipal, and federal sectors.POSITION SUMMARY ESI
is hiring an Asphalt Quality Control Field Technician in our Denver CO. market. Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years Asphalt Quality Control Field Technician Experience. This position will ensure and promote productivity, safety, delivery of a quality product and development of employees while protecting the company's interest and maintaining good relationships with clients.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Monitor and control construction efforts to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with specifications. Monitor asphalt compaction efforts with nuclear gauge. Take asphalt core samples. Perform soil and road base density tests as required. Coordinate with the QC Manager while providing customer support in resolving product concerns and other problems in the field. Recognize and communicate change of conditions to Asphalt Foreman and/or Asphalt Superintendent. Obtain, split, and deliver asphalt samples as required. Perform quality control tests as required. Record keeping and daily reporting of construction activities, especially as it pertains to quality. Perform and record quality control tests in accordance with established local standards. Educate customers in proper construction techniques and materials. Enforce company policies and procedures. Establish and maintain effective communication within our organization. Develop and maintain business relationships. Knowledge of best paving practices and understanding different mix types with compaction and rolling patterns. Strive for excellence in every project to achieve optimal results and goals. Possess an ownership attitude and be willing to grow and mentor other team members.SKILLS & ABILITIES
