Position Overview The Grade Crew Foreman will be responsible for field operations for any Earthwork/Roadway/Grading project and will directly supervise and coordinate activities of grading crew. This position may also engage in the trade work of the employees being supervised. Pay Ranges from $26- 31 per hour, dependent upon experience Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Directly supervises grading crew, and reports work to Superintendent.
MSHA. PPE
may be required, but not limited to, for this position: Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, and Coveralls. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required, up to 75% of the time. Knowledge/Skill Requirements Knowledge of the areas of dirt work, including excavation, grade work, surveying, and final excavating work. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to work in constant exposure to the outside elements, in all weather conditions. Ability to work in a safety sensitive construction setting, including exposure to moving machinery and heavy equipment. Ability to write simple correspondence.
