In this role, you will be responsible for expertly grading and finishing surfaces to ensure smooth, level, and high-quality results on a variety of construction projects. Your mechanical knowledge and experience with heavy machinery will be essential in maintaining safety standards and achieving precise outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on dynamic projects, utilizing your construction site experience and equipment operation skills to contribute to successful project completion. Responsibilities Operate finish graders along with other heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, water trucks, dump trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving machinery to shape and finish surfaces accurately. Perform site grading tasks including leveling, contouring, and smoothing surfaces for roads, foundations, or other structures. Collaborate with project managers and other crew members to interpret plans and specifications for grading requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times during construction activities. Assist with other construction tasks as needed, including operating various types of heavy equipment on-site to support project progress. Document work progress and communicate any issues or delays promptly to supervisors. Supervise and coordinate the work of grading crews and equipment operators. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy construction equipment including graders, bulldozers (dozer), loaders, backhoes, excavators, water trucks, dump trucks. Solid understanding of construction site safety procedures and best practices. Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, or specifications related to grading projects. Knowledge of construction site operations including terrain assessment and surface preparation techniques. At least 3 years of experience as a foreman or supervisor in grading operations. Strong knowledge of reading grade stakes, plans, and GPS systems (Trimble or Topcon preferred). Valid driver's license Excellent teamwork skills combined with strong attention to detail for achieving high-quality finishes. Join us in shaping the future of infrastructure!
