Asphalt & Paving Estimator KY Asphalt Palm Bay, FL Job Details Part-time From $20 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Estimating software Pricing Driver's License Attention to detail Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Asphalt and Paving Estimator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a flexible work environment and has a strong background in estimating asphalt paving projects for commercial, municipal, and residential clients. Key Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate cost estimates. Perform quantity take-offs and calculate material, labor, and equipment costs. Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals. Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and scope details. Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing records. Assist with project planning and scheduling as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in asphalt (or similar) estimating preferred. Strong knowledge of asphalt paving materials, methods, and equipment. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bid2Win, or similar). Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Reliable transportation required.
Preferred Education & Certifications:
Valid Florida driver's license a must.
Schedule & Compensation:
Part-time:
15-25 hours per week (flexible schedule) with possibility of full time
Compensation:
Starting at $20 per hour, with potential for higher pay or even shifting to a salaried position for qualified candidates.
