We run a tight crew and do solid work. We're hiring an experienced Asphalt Paver Operator. This is a hands-on job. You run the paver, and you pitch in with the crew when the work calls for it. What you'll do Operate the asphalt paver to lay mat to the right depth, grade, and slope Control speed, material flow, and screed settings for a consistent, smooth mat Work with the foreman, roller operators, and crew to keep production moving Run daily equipment checks and basic maintenance — grease, clean, minor adjustments Adjust to job conditions, weather, and site layout Help with handwork, shovel work, and jobsite cleanup as needed What you need Solid understanding of mat thickness, grade, slope, and paving technique Valid driver's license Dependable, on time, and ready to work Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for long stretches, and climb in and out of equipment Comfortable working outdoors Able to work early mornings and long days; occasional weekends Michael's Asphalt Paving is an equal opportunity employer.
