Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Bobcat Operator specializing in Forestry Mulching! In this energetic role, you'll be at the forefront of land clearing and vegetation management projects, utilizing advanced heavy equipment to transform rugged terrains into accessible, safe, and environmentally friendly spaces. Your expertise will drive efficiency and precision on construction sites, forestry operations, and land development projects. Duties Operate Bobcat skid-steer loaders equipped with forestry mulching attachments to clear brush, trees, and debris efficiently. Safely handle heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and Caterpillar machinery to support various construction and land management tasks. Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained throughout operations. Assist with site preparation activities including grading, leveling, and debris removal to facilitate construction or land development projects. Follow all safety protocols and environmental guidelines during equipment operation and project execution. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines for maximum productivity. Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, equipment maintenance, and project progress for reporting purposes. Qualifications Proven experience operating Bobcat skid-steer loaders with forestry mulching attachments in forestry or construction environments. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in operating various types of heavy machinery such as excavators, graders, or water trucks is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and environmental regulations related to forestry mulching projects. Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on equipment like Caterpillar machinery to ensure safety and efficiency. Construction site experience with knowledge of horizontal drilling or paving is a plus but not required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
