In this position, you will operate heavy machinery to ensure the efficient and safe completion of asphalt paving tasks. Achieve goals by hitting paving and grading rates and contributing to the overall success of our construction operations, making a significant impact on the quality and durability of our projects. What you'll do Operate heavy equipment such as pavers, skid-steers, graders and rollers to perform asphalt paving and related tasks. Collaborate with team members on construction sites, adhering to safety protocols and best practices at all times. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure operational efficiency and prevent breakdowns. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and project progress for reporting purposes. Basic qualifications Proven experience as an operator in asphalt or other related field Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with commercial vehicle operation and commercial driving regulations. Preferred qualifications Previous work experience on construction sites with stone grading and asphalt paving Knowledge of safety standards in construction environments.
