Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Seal Coat Laborer and play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our roadway surfaces! This energetic position involves assisting with the application of seal coats to asphalt surfaces, ensuring durable, long-lasting pavements. As a key team member, you'll work outdoors in various weather conditions, supporting skilled operators and construction crews to deliver high-quality results. Duties Assist with the preparation and cleaning of surfaces prior to seal coating application Support the operation of heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and front loader trucks under supervision Help with the mixing and spraying of seal coat materials according to project specifications Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times on the construction site Assist with traffic control and site organization to maintain a safe working environment Support the loading and unloading of materials using dump trucks and other heavy machinery Conduct routine inspections of equipment and work areas to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs Experience Prior experience working on construction sites or in paving projects is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, or front loader trucks is advantageous Familiarity with utility locating techniques is a plus for understanding site safety procedures Experience with construction safety practices and site protocols is beneficial Ability to operate or quickly learn how to operate Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality workmanship Embark on a career that builds more than roads — build your future with us!
