As an Asphalt Laborer, you will play a key role in assisting with asphalt paving operations, site preparation, and equipment handling to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop hands-on skills in construction and heavy equipment operation while contributing to impactful infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including grading and utility locating to ensure proper foundation for paving. Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, front loader trucks, dump trucks, and Caterpillar machinery under supervision. Support asphalt paving activities by spreading, leveling, and compacting asphalt materials accurately. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance. Follow safety protocols diligently, including wearing proper protective gear and adhering to site safety guidelines. Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials and equipment across the site. Help with general labor tasks such as loading materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting with site logistics. Skills Experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, front loader trucks, dump trucks, and Caterpillar machinery. Knowledge of asphalt paving processes and construction site procedures. Ability to perform utility locating accurately to prevent underground utility damage. Strong understanding of construction safety practices and protocols. Prior construction site experience preferred; a willingness to learn is essential. Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency.
