Job Description

PCM Services is a commercial contractor in Beltsville, MD, serving the DC/Baltimore metro area and is seeking a dedicated and dependable Shoveler to join our Asphalt Division. This position is responsible for assisting asphalt crews with paving, patching, excavation, and site preparation activities. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions and has a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship. Responsibilities Shovel, rake, spread, and level asphalt materials during paving operations. Assist with roadway, parking lot, and pavement construction projects. Prepare job sites by removing debris and ensuring proper grading and site conditions. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment. Assist paving machine operators, roller operators, and truck drivers as needed. Perform site cleanup before, during, and after project completion. Use hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and effectively. Direct traffic and assist with work zone setup and traffic control devices. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent.
