Asphalt Paving Employment Type:
Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Project Manager to oversee and deliver roadway and highway paving projects throughout Maryland. This role is responsible for managing all phases of asphalt paving work, with a strong focus on DOT and Maryland Highway Administration (MHA) standards, schedules, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple asphalt paving projects from preconstruction through closeout Coordinate with owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal field teams Ensure compliance with DOT and MHA specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost controls Review plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure accurate execution Track production, quantities, and job costs; identify and mitigate risks Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders Support estimating, change orders, and project documentation Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience managing asphalt paving projects Direct experience with DOT and/or Maryland Highway Administration (MHA) projects required Strong understanding of roadway construction, paving operations, and materials Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and field operations Proficient in project management software and construction documentation Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) Experience managing multiple crews and high-production paving operations (preferred) Familiarity with Maryland public sector contracting processes (preferred) Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) Bonus potential Company vehicle or allowance Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Send resume to mitchell.guerrieri@gogpac.com for more information
