Job Description

Northern Pool Company is seeking an experienced Construction Excavator Operator with a Class A CDL license to join our growing team in Maine. If you have a strong background in pool construction, heavy equipment operation, and CDL driving, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a company that values quality, safety, and teamwork. Position Summary The Excavator Operator will play a critical role in pool construction projects, handling excavation, grading, trenching, and transporting materials and equipment. This position requires a skilled operator with at least 5 years of experience and the ability to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Operate excavators and other heavy equipment for pool excavation, grading, and backfilling. Safely transport materials, machinery, and equipment using a CDL-A vehicle. Read and interpret construction plans, site layouts, and project specifications. Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Ensure job sites meet safety, quality, and compliance standards. Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and crew members to complete projects on time. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of construction equipment operating experience , preferably in pool construction . Valid CDL-A driver's license preffered. Strong knowledge of excavation practices, grading, trenching, and site prep. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and high-quality workmanship. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 75+ lbs as needed.
