Lead Mover - Norumbega Moving & Storage Southwest Harbor, ME | Full-Time/Part-Time | Competitive Pay About the Role Norumbega Moving & Storage is a white-glove moving and storage company serving clients across Maine and beyond. We're looking for a Lead Mover who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and genuinely enjoys the physical demands of the job. As a Lead Mover, you'll be responsible for directing a crew of one to two movers on each job, setting the pace, maintaining quality, and making sure the client has a great experience from start to finish. What You'll Do Lead a small crew through residential and commercial moves, from pack-out to final placement Communicate clearly with clients, crew members, and the operations team Ensure items are handled carefully, wrapped properly, and loaded efficiently Solve problems on the fly and keep the job moving on schedule Set a professional tone and represent NMS well at every job site Who You Are A natural team player who knows how to lead without micromanaging Physically fit and comfortable with demanding, active work, this job is a workout, and we want someone who treats it that way A clear and confident communicator, with clients and with your crew Positive attitude, even on long or difficult days Reliable, punctual, and takes ownership of the job What We're Looking For Prior moving experience preferred; leadership experience a plus Valid driver's license (clean record required) Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work on your feet all day Strong situational awareness and attention to detail A team-first mentality with the confidence to take charge when needed Why NMS Work with a professional, tight-knit crew that takes quality seriously Consistent hours, competitive pay, and room to grow A company that invests in its people and its equipment
