Crusher Operator

Job Title:

Crusher Operator E&H Asphalt is a leading provider of high-quality gravel and asphalt materials for civil construction sites and hot mix asphalt production. E&H Asphalt is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crusher Operator to join our team. The Crusher Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining crushing equipment to produce high-quality gravel and aggregate materials for civil construction projects and hot mix asphalt production. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities Operate Crushing Equipment :

Safely and efficiently operate crushers, conveyors, and related machinery to process raw materials into specified gravel and aggregate sizes.

Monitor Production :

Oversee the crushing process, ensuring consistent output that meets quality standards for civil construction and hot mix asphalt applications.

Perform Maintenance :

Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance on crushing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Ensure Safety Compliance :

Adhere to all safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.

Quality Control :

Test and monitor aggregate products to ensure they meet project specifications and quality requirements.

Troubleshooting :

Identify and resolve operational issues with crushing equipment, reporting major repairs to supervisors.

Record Keeping :

Maintain accurate logs of production output, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections.

Team Collaboration :

Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and site personnel to coordinate production schedules and meet project deadlines.

Qualifications Experience :

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating crushing equipment or heavy machinery in a similar industry (e.g., aggregate production, construction, or asphalt manufacturing).

Technical Skills :

Familiarity with operating and maintaining crushers, screeners, conveyors, and related equipment.

Safety Knowledge :

Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in outdoor environments, and stand for extended periods.

Certifications :

Valid driver's license required; heavy equipment operator certification or MSHA training preferred.

Skills :

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Work Environment Work is performed primarily outdoors at crushing sites, in varying weather conditions. Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy machinery requires adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Shift work, including occasional weekends or overtime, may be required to meet production demands.
