In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating asphalt paving equipment to ensure smooth, durable, and high-quality road surfaces. Your expertise will help bring construction projects to life efficiently and safely, contributing to the development of infrastructure that benefits communities. Responsibilities Operate asphalt pavers and related heavy equipment with precision to lay asphalt according to project specifications Coordinate with the construction crew to prepare the site, including grading and leveling surfaces before paving begins Manage material delivery and distribution, including loading and unloading asphalt from dump trucks and other commercial vehicles Monitor paving operations continuously, making adjustments for smoothness, thickness, and alignment Assist with concrete forming, concrete finishing, and concrete pumping as needed for adjacent construction tasks Conduct routine maintenance checks on paving equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly Follow safety protocols diligently, ensuring all work is performed in compliance with OSHA standards and project safety guidelines Experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as asphalt pavers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks on construction sites Hands-on knowledge of concrete mixer operation, concrete finishing techniques, and rebar installation is highly desirable Familiarity with construction site procedures, including site preparation, grading, and material handling Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating or transporting construction vehicles Prior experience working on large-scale paving projects or in commercial construction environments is a plus Join our team to build the infrastructure of tomorrow!
