Asphalt Paving Foreman

Job Summary:

Tarheel Paving & Asphalt Co. is looking for a skilled and reliable Paving Foreman to lead crews on various asphalt paving projects including driveways, parking lots, roads, and other commercial type projects. We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality work and can manage a team efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Organize daily site operations including (setting up trucking, communicating production needs with asphalt plant, tonnage calculations, traffic control set up, etc) Operate and manage paving equipment (pavers, rollers, skid steers, etc.) Ensure job site safety and adherence to company policies Read and understand grades, blueprints, and job scopes Coordinate with project managers and communicate with customers when needed Monitor material usage and job progress to stay on budget and schedule Train and support crew members for performance and growth Maintain client and industry relationships with other project managers

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in asphalt paving, with at least 1 year in a leadership role Ability to read grades and manage crews effectively Experience operating equipment like skid steers, rollers, and pavers Knowledge of asphalt materials and paving techniques Strong communication and leadership skills Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) Strong work ethic and attention to detail
