Full Job Description Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Fine Grade Equipment Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment to perform precise grading for asphalt, concrete, and site work projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of grade control, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate equipment such as motor graders, skid steers, dozers, and excavators for fine grading work Perform final grading for asphalt paving, concrete slabs, and site preparation Read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and site plans Work with GPS and laser grade control systems (preferred) Ensure proper slope, drainage, and surface accuracy Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Follow all safety procedures and company policies Work closely with crew members and supervisors to meet project deadlines
Qualifications:
Experience in fine grading and heavy equipment operation Strong understanding of grading, elevations, and site layout Experience with GPS machine control systems is a plus Ability to read plans and grade stakes accurately Reliable, punctual, and able to work in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license required (CDL a plus)
